  1. SUPPORT the UBCM Community Emergency Preparedness Fund – Emergency Operations Centre & Training grant application in the amount of $25,000 to conduct a series of evacuation tabletop exercises between April – June, 2019; and

THAT subject to obtaining statutory approval from the Inspector of Municipalities for Critical Street Light and Traffic Signal Replacement Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 9017, 2019, an alternative approval process in accordance with section 86 of the Community Charter be used for the purpose of seeking approval of the electors in relation to Critical Street Light and Traffic Signal Replacement Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 9017, 2019.
  23. THAT Council approves the Elector Response Forms attached as Appendix A to the report dated February 14, 2019 titled "2019 Loan Authorization Bylaws and Approval of the Electors' Options" for use in the alternative approval processes for Bylaw No.'s 9007 to 9017.
  24. THAT Council establishes the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019 for receiving Elector Response Forms for the alternative approval process for Bylaw No.'s 9007 to 9017, 2019.
  25. THAT Council approves the determination of the total number of electors of the area to which the eleven (11) alternative approval processes apply for Bylaw No.'s 9007 to 9017 as 55,455 electors, on the basis described in this report.
  26. THAT Council directs the Corporate Officer to report the results of the eleven (11) alternative approval processes for Bylaw No.'s 9007 to 9017, and if required statutory approval and approval of the electors has been obtained, to return Bylaw No.'s 9007 to 9017, as appropriate, for Council's consideration of final reading and adoption.
