    That the attached minutes of the regular Council meeting held December 2, 2019, and the Special Council meeting held December 4, 2019, be adopted as read on this day and that such minutes as read set out all of the business before Council at those meetings and fully and properly record all of the resolutions and bylaws passed and adopted by Council at those meetings.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    Be it resolved that:

    1. Council SUPPORTS the amendment of the existing food primary liquor license to allow patron participation for Buskers Rock Merch and Venue Ltd. located at 1552 Victoria Street for the following reasons:
      This application is not expected to have a negative impact on the community or produce any significant negative land use impacts on adjacent properties.
    2. The Council’s comments on the prescribed considerations are as set out in the report dated November 29, 2019 from Deanna Wasnik, Manager of Development Services/Acting General Manager of Planning and Development for Liquor Licence Application No. LL100167.
    3. The methods used to gather the views of residents are as follows:
      The views of potentially affected property owners were collected in a Public Hearing held on December 16, 2019 in Council Chambers. The public notice for this hearing included 1) a sign was posted on the property ten (10) days prior to the hearing, 2) written notification to owners and tenants in occupation of all parcels within the area that was the subject of the application, and within a distance of 30 metres from the land that was the subject of this application ten (10) days prior to the hearing, and 3) advertisements were placed in two (2) consecutive issues of a newspaper, not less than three (3) and not more than ten (10) days before the hearing.
      The views of affected property owners are as summarized in the minutes of the Public Hearing held on December 16, 2019.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION, the quarterly report summarizing Mayor and Council travel expenses incurred during the fourth quarter of 2019.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council:

    1. ESTABLISHES a Select Committee on A Safe, Clean and Inclusive Downtown; and
    2. APPROVES the Terms of Reference of the Select Committee on A Safe, Clean and Inclusive Downtown, as attached to the report dated December 10, 2019 from Mayor Lyn Hall.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report dated November 28, 2019 from the Director of Community Services and Public Safety titled "SportPG - Sport Hosting Grant Update for 2019."

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report dated November 29, 2019 from the Director of Community Services and Public Safety titled "Major Sport Event Program."

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council:

    1. APPROVES the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) Community Emergency Preparedness Fund –Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) & Training Grant application in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to conduct EOC tabletop exercises in 2020; and
    2. AUTHORIZES the City’s Financial Officer and Director of Community Services and Public Safety to sign funding request documents and any contract documents should funding approval be received.
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council GIVES FIRST READING to "City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9085, 2019.”

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council CONSIDERS “City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9085, 2019”, in conjunction with the current Financial Plan and confirm there are no issues.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council CONSIDERS “City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9085, 2019”, in conjunction with the current Regional District of Fraser Fort-George Solid Waste Management Plan and confirm there are no issues.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council CONSIDERS “City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9085, 2019”, in conjunction with the City of Prince George Strategic Framework for a Sustainable Prince George and confirm there are no issues.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council GIVES SECOND READING to “City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9085, 2019”.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council APPROVES the following public consultation process to fulfill the requirements of Section 475 of the Local Government Act:

    1. Two Citywide Newspaper advertisement(s) requesting written comment;
    2. Request for written comment from properties identified on Exhibit “A” to CP100159; and
    3. One Public Meeting.
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council GIVES FIRST TWO READINGS to "City of Prince George Zoning Bylaw No. 7850, 2007, Amendment Bylaw No. 9086, 2019."

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council PERMITS that consideration of Final Reading of proposed Bylaw No. 9086, 2019 BE WITHHELD until the following requirements have been met to the satisfaction of Administration:

    1. Receipt of a Servicing Brief; and
    2. Receipt of a Traffic Impact Study.

    In addition, any recommendations presented in the preceding items must be addressed to the satisfaction of the General Manager of Planning and Development.
